We are very pleased to share with you one of two Kenya’s we have been able to find this year of the quality you have come to expect. Both are very different cups, but also very typical The coffee comes from the Karatina mill, based in the central province near to Maithira, and comes from a co-operative of 1400 farmers, who produced 785853 kg of coffee last year. The elevations of the area are from 1700 meters above sea level to around 2000 which is fairly typical for the area. The varietals in the area are SL 28 & 34, Ruiru 11, Batian, again very typical for the area. This is a fully washed, submerged under water, and sun-dried coffee using african bed drying tables instead of patios.

But most importantly it is in the cup where it matters, and this reminds me of sweet Jaffa oranges and peaches, thats so clean and transparent. But it’s the aftertaste that hits you, is delicious and sweet, and that screams Jellytots chewy sweets.
